Aedis Architects’ very own Tricia Tanimura graduated from The School Facilities Leadership Academy (SFLA) last week at the annual CASH Conference in Sacramento. SFLA is a collaborative effort between the Coalition for Adequate School Housing (CASH) and the Fiscal Crisis and Management Assistance Team (FCMAT), with the goal of developing education professionals into extraordinary leaders. Her 9-month immersive, virtual and in-person program allowed her the opportunity to grow her leadership, management, collaboration and operations skill sets. Congrats, Tricia, and the entire Cohort 11 of The CASH School Facilities Leadership Academy!

Through our Aedis University we offer several seminars a month, all to share professional knowledge and continued training from both internal and external sources. Aediseans can get continuing education credits, learn from and present to each other, and participate in robust roundtable discussions on relevant topics. As a result, Aediseans are well informed on recent code and regulatory changes, as well as embodying our culture of “always learning,” all to provide our clients and projects with the most well-rounded and professional expertise.
Last month we brought our San Jose and Sacramento offices “together” in a unique way to celebrate spring, enjoy our fellow Aediseans, and spend some time cheering for our local baseball teams. On the very same evening, our San Jose office attended a San Jose Giants game and the Sacramento office cheered on the Sacramento River Cats. Our families got to spend time with our work family while enjoying our shared love of baseball. A wonderful time was had by all! Thank you to our extended Aedis family for joining us. Celebrating individual Aedisean’s milestones is an important part of strengthening our culture and community! So, recently, our entire firm surprised Annalee Marschel, AIA with a baby shower complete with entertaining baby games, delicious food and deserts, and a table full of gifts.
